Product details:

This harvest of Mount Elgon Natural brings wonderful mango notes, paired with a hint of grape and a beautiful full-bodied character.

The cherries for this classic Mount Elgon come from the gardens of around 150 farmers. The altitude is about 2300m above sea level.

The cherries are fermented for up to 36 hours and then sun-dried and sorted on African beds.

The name of the coffee comes from its processing method.

How is Mount Elgon Natural processed?

The way coffee beans are processed describes how the cherries are treated after harvest, which greatly influences the taste.

Natural - Dry processing:

The coffee cherries dry completely with pulp and skin, which transfer their aromas to the bean. The result is an intense, fruity and sweet taste. This method is environmentally friendly as it requires very little water.

Our coffees are available in different quantities as whole beans or ground. You can choose between different grind sizes – depending on which coffee machine you use to prepare your coffee.

For every unit of coffee sold, The Coffee Board supports the "Orphans Hope & Life Kenya" orphanage with 50 cents.
