The Shyira washing station in the Nyabihu district of Rwanda is the "little baby" of Muraho Trading's 6 stations. It is also their highest station, where cherries are collected from altitudes of 2000 to 2300 m above sea level. The weather conditions, soil quality, and altitude make this Coffee Washing Station an ideal place for processing and producing high-quality coffee.

 How is Shyira Washed processed?

The type of processing of coffee beans describes how the cherries are treated after harvesting, which strongly influences the taste.

Washed - Wet processing:

The pulp is removed directly, the beans are fermented, washed, and dried. This results in a clean, elegant taste with precise fruit notes and lively acidity. The controlled processing ensures consistently high quality.

Our coffees are available in different quantities as whole beans or ground. You can choose between different grind levels – depending on which coffee machine you use to prepare your coffee.
